My Story
Vernita Bowe is a powerhouse of faith, resilience, and transformation. She is a preacher, inspirational transformative speaker, motivational workshop facilitator, and author whose life’s mission is to guide grieving mothers from the depths of sorrow to the mountaintop of joy.
Her journey is one of raw truth and supernatural redemption. In 2018, Vernita faced the unimaginable—the loss of her beloved firstborn son, Byron O’Neal Slade. The grief was crushing. The silence in her home was deafening. In her pain, she questioned God, wrestled with her faith, and felt the weight of despair. But in her midnight hours of weeping, she began to cry out—not just in brokenness, but in pursuit of the God she once thought had abandoned her.
Through those cries, Vernita didn’t just find God again—she found herself. Her pain became her pulpit. Her tears became her testimony. And her faith, once fractured, was reborn stronger than ever before.
Today, Vernita is the founder of VernitaInspires, a movement designed to help women emerge from grief, stagnation, and hopelessness into a life of purpose, power, and peace. Through her speaking, preaching, books, and transformative programs, she has become a beacon of hope for women who thought they’d never smile again.
